Tyumen's Cultural Program for 2026

The Tyumen Concert and Theater Association (TKTU) plans to delight audiences with a series of new productions and concert programs in 2026. Key events have already been set, although details will be clarified later.
The association includes the Puppet Theater, the Philharmonic, the «Neftyanik» Palace of Culture, as well as drama theaters in Tyumen and Tobolsk.
Drama Theater (TBDT)
The Tobolsk Drama Theater is preparing several premiere performances:
- «The Catcher in the Rye» based on the novel by J.D. Salinger;
- «My Grandfather Was a Cherry Tree» based on the story by Angela Nanetti;
- «The Cherry Orchard» by Anton Chekhov;
- «Eugene Onegin» based on the work by Alexander Pushkin.
Moreover, the theater«s artists will go on a tour of Russia, including Saratov, Kaliningrad, Moscow, and other cities.
Philharmonic
The Tyumen Philharmonic Orchestra will record a concert-poem «Echoes» based on themes by Alexandra Pakhmutova and Igor Kholopov in February 2026. In spring, the ensemble will perform on tour in Moscow, Cheboksary, Perm, and Yekaterinburg.
The Choral Chapel will also present a rich program:
- In February — a joint concert with the Omsk Academic Symphony Orchestra in Omsk;
- In April — the II Bogdanyan Chamber Music Festival, dedicated to cello art;
- In May — a concert performance of Pyotr Tchaikovsky«s opera »Iolanta« at the season closing.
Palace of Culture «Neftyanik»
The «Neftyanik» Palace of Culture is celebrating its 50th anniversary and in connection with this is preparing special events for the audience. Exact formats are not yet disclosed, but new concert programs are promised.
Puppet Theater
In 2026, the Puppet Theater will present three premieres: in February — «Aibolit and Barmaley», in June — «The Rooster and the Paints», in December — «The Frog Princess». Tours to Russian cities are also traditionally planned.
