A documentary filmed in Bashkiria titled «Sober Village» (18+) has entered the top 10 films that led in viewership numbers in early 2026 on the Wink online cinema. It took sixth place. Here is what readers of UFA1.RU are saying about the film.

We previously published a detailed review of «Sober Village». To recall, the film tells the story of an official who tries to win a competition to improve the lives of his fellow villagers, some of whom prefer drunkenness. According to the review«s author, the film turned out to be both funny and sad, with the characters portrayed as real, living people.

«I watched it spellbound, a very emotional film!» — supported a visitor to our portal.

«An excellent film, it makes you think about life!» — noted another.

«The film captivates from the first minutes. Shot at a highly professional level — village life as it is, without embellishment! There are plenty of problems in the village! Therefore, no matter how proactive a leader is, without the support of fellow villagers they are difficult to solve» — wrote another guest of the site.

However, not everyone shared the enthusiasm. In our poll, 4% stated that the film is not worth attention.

«Complete nonsense, I see nothing in this film but meaningless scenes» — a UFA1.RU reader was indignant.

«I don«t like fantasy» — a viewer joked ironically.

One of the film«s stories is dedicated to a former alcoholic from the village, Valery Andreev. In an interview with UFA1.RU, he candidly spoke about how he would disappear on drinking binges and why he eventually decided to quit.
