Matsuev's Perm Festival to Feature Spivakov and Bolshoi Prima

In early spring, Perm will host the Denis Matsuev festival for the sixteenth time. For four days, not only the maestro himself but also orchestras from Moscow and renowned conductor Vladimir Spivakov will perform on the stage of the Perm Philharmonic. Among the artists is even a prima ballerina from the Bolshoi Theatre.
From March 1 to 4, Perm will hold the large-scale International Festival of the virtuoso pianist Denis Matsuev, famous throughout Russia. Over four days, four concerts will be given featuring the maestro himself, prima ballerina of the Bolshoi Theatre Ekaterina Shipulina, the Stradivarius ensemble of the Mariinsky Theatre, the «Virtuosi of Moscow» chamber orchestra, and conductor-maestro Vladimir Spivakov.
Ticket sales for the concerts on March 1, 2, and 3 are already open. Information on when tickets for the festival closing will be available will be announced later.
Program
March 1: Festival opening with a piano concert by Denis Matsuev (6+). Ticket prices range from 5,000 to 10,000 rubles (approx. $56–$111 at current rates).
March 2: Concert featuring Denis Matsuev, prima ballerina Ekaterina Shipulina, ballet artist Oleg Gabyshev, the Stradivarius ensemble of the Mariinsky Theatre, violinist and conductor Lorenz Nasturik-Herschovici, and trumpeter Semyon Salomatnikov. Ticket prices vary from 7,000 to 12,500 rubles (approx. $78–$139 at current rates).
March 3: Concert with Denis Matsuev, Ekaterina Mochalova (domra), Andrei Ivanov (double bass), Arkady Shilkloper (French horn, alphorn), Borislav Strulev (cello), David Tkebuchava, Sophia Tyurina (saxophone), Sophia Viland (flute), the symphony orchestra of the Perm Opera and Ballet Theatre, and conductor Ivan Nikiforchyn. Ticket prices are from 6,000 to 9,000 rubles (approx. $67–$100 at current rates).
March 4: Festival closing. Concert with Denis Matsuev, the «Virtuosi of Moscow» orchestra, and conductor Vladimir Spivakov. Ticket prices will be announced later.
Concerts will be held in the Great Hall of the Philharmonic. Programs begin at 7:00 p.m.
