Dancing after exams: Student Ball held in Taganrog

Students who distinguished themselves in academic, scientific, and social activities were invited to the ball.
Traditionally, on Russian Student Day, the Southern Federal University (SFU) club in Taganrog attracts many guests. Every January 25, the Rector«s Ball is held here, and this year it is officially called the Formal Student Ball.

Formal events like this often start with guests checking their coats at the cloakroom.
Each ball is unlike the previous one, as the organizers always choose a new theme. This year, the theme was «The Seasons». Dance numbers dedicated to spring, summer, autumn, and winter alternated with classic ballroom dances and welcoming speeches from invited guests. At the conclusion of the ball, SFU Rector Inna Shevchenko traditionally treated all present to sbiten.

The event also featured a buffet where guests could mingle and enjoy refreshments.
