Surviving victim details escape from Bogorodsk maniac

The surviving victim of the Bogorodsk maniac returned home with a broken face and bruises on her back. Dmitry tied her up, beat her, and slipped drugs into her water. At one point, the girl couldn«t even walk. She could have been lying in the ground next to other nannies killed by the maniac, but she managed to save herself. On the show »Let Them Talk,« she recounted how she escaped.

«Essentially, it wasn»t an escape, but rather a voluntary departure from him. He calmly let me go, although later he tried very hard to get me back. Actually, I thought he would be taken away because he told me about the nanny before me, that she left him and every month they left him,« she said on the show.

According to Anna, the man entered into romantic relationships with girls who came to work as nannies for his son. She also had to endure beatings and other horrors inflicted by Dmitry. She escaped from the maniac with bruises on her face and body.

«I myself had to endure physical violence and some torture,» she added.

The man beat the girl with a belt on her back, leaving huge bruises on Anna«s body. The show»s heroine recounted how she was on the brink of life and death several times: according to the victim, Artamoshin forced her to take drugs by slipping them into her water.

«The first time he slipped something into my drink, my breathing started to stop. I almost lost consciousness <...> I realized it at that moment, after not being able to eat for two days, with no sleep at all,» she said on the show.

The girl appeared quite calm in the studio, but it was visible that she still found it difficult to speak. Anna said that she had to work with a psychologist for a long time. After therapy, her condition improved.

«At that time, I thought I was already with both feet in the grave. I thought that if he wants to do it, let him do it now. Once he grabbed me by the hair and beat my head against the floor, I was covered in blood. Then he forced me to sit on the bed — that was his favorite place for torture,» the girl said.

The girl who escaped from Dmitry said that he beat the girls in the solar plexus, on the ribs, spine, and kidneys. At one point, Anna stopped reacting to his beatings because «there was no point,» as she no longer felt pain.

«The muscles in my legs didn»t work, I couldn«t move. First I crawled, then I leaned on something,» shared Anna Terentyeva.

The girl admitted that at some point she thought about death, even after she managed to leave the maniac.

«He tied my hands and feet so that my face was free. So that I could breathe, but my whole body was submerged in the swamp. After the escape, when I was in my savior»s house, he went to the store, and at that moment I had thoughts: «Maybe after such abuse, I should end it all?» But I stopped myself at that moment,« Anna shared her emotions.

The girl said that initially she didn«t check any background on the person who invited her to work at his home with accommodation. Then she learned that Dmitry resold cars, sold them for parts, and deceived people. All information about him — his debts and collections. Dmitry hardly talked about his missing wife.

«He said he lost the mother of his children due to his own stupidity. He was looking for her, wanted to bring her back, but didn»t know which rehabilitation center she was in. As I understood, they used drugs together because he later said that his wife egged him on,« Anna recalled.

All this time, Dmitry«s son witnessed the abuse with his own eyes, Anna claims. He sat either in a room on the second floor or in the living room.

«He would come into the room [where he beat the nannies] to bring something to his father. Yes, he knew about everything that was happening,» Terentyeva said.

It was difficult for the girl to escape from the maniac because after the beatings, moving was very hard. Escaping to a neighbor, she said, would likely not have worked because there were practically no neighbors in the SHT (a cottage community). No one responded, although the girl screamed and asked for help.

Another guest on the program was the victim of the Skopin maniac, Ekaterina Stepanova, who managed to escape from Viktor Mokhov — he held two girls in a basement for four years.

«I remember everything and, unfortunately, won»t be able to forget completely. But I live with it. We were isolated from the world in a bunker six meters deep. There was no chance of getting out, but I didn«t lose hope that I would return home. Inner faith helped me,» she said.

The victims of the Skopin maniac managed to escape when they showed that they could no longer resist. Then Mokhov took Ekaterina to a student who was renting an apartment from him. He introduced the girls as his nieces. Stepanova persuaded her not to drink with Mokhov, after which she found a note from Ekaterina and contacted the police.

Recall that the maniac was detained in the Bogorodsk district in November of this year. Dmitry was accused of murdering two girls. Dmitry searched for his victims on classified ads websites, where he wrote about looking for a nanny for his son. Young girls came to his home and lived there, and then disappeared without a trace — two of them still haven«t been found.

Earlier, the fate became known of the nine-year-old son of the maniac. According to media reports, he is now in the custody of child protective services, and psychologists are working with him. Scars were found on the boy«s body.
