Two Omsk residents kidnapped a 19-year-old man and took him to a cemetery. A criminal case has been opened against them. They face up to 12 years in prison. This was reported by the regional investigative committee.

According to the investigation, the crime occurred on January 16. The suspects met the victim on the street, forced him into the trunk of a car, and took him to a cemetery. They threatened the young man and demanded that he pay them 250,000 rubles (about $2,800 at current rates) in monthly installments.

After the kidnappers received part of the sum, they released the victim. He then went to the police.

Currently, the suspects have been detained. The investigation has submitted a request to the court for the suspects to be taken into custody. Investigative actions are being conducted to establish all circumstances of the committed crime, for which the punishment ranges from 5 to 12 years in prison.
