Migrant kills 18-year-old in Moscow region after bus dispute
A bus dispute in the Moscow region escalated into a fatal stabbing by a migrant.
On Monday, January 19, it became known that in the Moscow region, a migrant stabbed 18-year-old Ilya due to a conflict on a bus. The killer was 19-year-old Imomali Turdiev. According to him, he made a remark to the guys who were behaving provocatively on the bus.
A group of young people were showing middle fingers and shouting something negative at a girl at the bus stop, which Turdiev reacted to. As a result, a conflict ensued, which escalated into a fight on the street. According to Baza, first the group of teenagers sprayed Imomali with pepper spray, then shot at him with a flare gun. After that, the migrant pulled out a knife and stabbed one of the opponents.
The youth was detained and a criminal case was initiated against him under Part 1 of Article 105 of the Russian Criminal Code (murder). He now faces from 6 to 15 years in prison.
It is known about the attacker Imomali Turdiev that he moved to Russia from Tajikistan when he was still a child. He completed nine grades, then tried to enter college, but failed. Then he went to work as a loader at a market.
The altercation began with a group of teenagers harassing a girl at a bus stop.
The editorial office of MSK1.RU contacted the elder brother of Imomali Turdiev. He said that he could not even imagine that he would find himself in such a situation.
«I think you understand yourselves that there was nothing like that from his side. He just made a remark, they got off and started fighting themselves,» said Safarzhon Turdiev.
According to him, Imomali was one of the most non-confrontational among the brothers. And in general, until recently, he did not engage in wrestling or sports at all.
«He is the quietest child in our family. I don«t know what all this could have happened because of. Maybe because some woman was being insulted. Maybe because she was dressed in different attire. Maybe he stood up for his sister in faith. I think so. There»s no other way. Even if it was an ordinary girl, if he is a reasonable person, then he would have stood up for her,» said Turdiev senior and added: «He himself doesn«t know how to fight. He barely started going to the gym recently. And there were some pumped-up guys, three or four came out against him.»
In Safarzhon«s opinion, his brother could have used the weapon only in self-defense. Because earlier in school, he almost never participated in conflicts and was not considered a fighter.

As found out by MSK1.RU, Imomali«s relatives still cannot contact him. They learned about the incident from the news. Turdiev»s closest relatives are in Kemerovo, and it will be difficult for them to come. The suspect moved to the Moscow region in October 2025.
«He went to the Moscow region with a friend, wanted to earn money for a dream. He worked at a Wildberries warehouse. It seems to me he was coming from training, in the video he has a sports bag,» said Safarzhon.
«And what is the dream?» clarified the MSK1.RU correspondent.
«I don«t know. He wanted to earn money and get married.»
Later, the Moscow region police published footage of the detained Imomali.
«There was a conflict, during the conflict I used a knife. I was in a state of shock, adrenaline was pumping,» he said disjointedly on camera.
Earlier, MSK1.RU wrote that in the summer in the Moscow region, a migrant killed a deaf-mute resident of Shchyolkovo. We reported that a 49-year-old local resident made a remark with gestures to an Uzbek Shomil Toshev for rummaging in the trash. He beat the disabled person, which led to death.
The court gave him a suspended sentence of one year for this. When a scandal and uproar arose online, he was given eight years in a strict regime colony.
