The 37-year-old woman has long suffered from drug addiction. She underwent treatment at rehabilitation centers and returned to a sober life. However, in October 2025, her husband noticed something wrong in her behavior.

The regional prosecutor«s office clarified that the spouses lived together, but »he could not influence her.« Moreover, the woman also drank heavily. The man is also an addict—but from what, the agency does not know. The couple met in a rehabilitation center.

«He [the husband] decided not to take risks and asked a volunteer from the rehabilitation center to visit his wife, who was at home with their two-year-old child at the time,» the prosecutor«s office said.

The rehab worker realized that the woman had returned to drugs and offered help, but she refused. He also realized that her two-year-old child was in danger, which he reported to the police and child protection services. They came to the apartment, spoke with the woman, assessed the living conditions, and confirmed the volunteer«s suspicions.

The juvenile affairs inspector attempted to take the child to place in a special institution. But the mother was strongly opposed and attacked her—she pushed her in the chest several times and struck her body.

The prosecutor has approved charges against the 37-year-old Krasnoyarsk woman for using violence against a government official in the performance of duty. The maximum penalty is up to five years in prison. In addition, the juvenile affairs inspector has filed a lawsuit against the woman for compensation of moral damages in the amount of 100,000 rubles (approximately $1,100 at current rates).

Previously, NGS24.RU reported that in December 2025 in Norilsk, a mother of many children starved four children. One of them—a five-month-old boy—died. Two girls in serious condition were placed in the hospital.

As investigators found out, the 35-year-old Norilsk woman could be absent from home for many days. In her place, her 15-year-old daughter cared for the younger children.
