Kemerovo court to try killer squad for multiple murders
One of the suspects was serving a sentence, but for another crime.
The court will consider the case against four organizers and perpetrators of murders that occurred in Kemerovo in the late 1990s and 2000s. The gang shot victims on the city streets or in the entrances of their homes, the press services of the prosecutor«s office and investigative committee of the region reported on Tuesday, January 20.
28 years after a mysterious attack on the general director of a large real estate rental company, the circumstances have become known. According to law enforcement, a 54-year-old man attempted to shoot the businessman and his bodyguard on order. To do this, he found a pistol with a silencer, studied the entrepreneur«s daily routine, and in the summer of 1998 ambushed him in the entrance of a building on Leningradsky Prospekt. The victims survived thanks to medical assistance.
A few years later, the same killer acted as the organizer of the murder of a local lawyer who was gathering evidence against him for crimes. In the summer of 2012, a man hired by him for 100,000 rubles (approximately $1,300 at current rates) shot a resident on Shakhtyorov Prospekt with a rifle, took a bag with documents, and fled.
In July 2016, the same gang killed a crime boss in the courtyard of his home on Komsomolsky Prospekt.
A year later, the criminals engaged in extortion against a local entrepreneur, whom they learned had no bodyguard. At gunpoint, they demanded 4 million rubles (approximately $53,300 at current rates) from him.
In none of the cases was the crime solved immediately. Only recently did law enforcement learn about the involvement of a 54-year-old crime boss, and then three other people — organizers, assistants, perpetrators. Moreover, one of them was already in a penal institution at that time.
The participants in the lawlessness in Kemerovo now face imprisonment, up to life sentence.
A source from law enforcement told NGS42.RU that, according to the investigation, the killer in the attack on the general director and the organizer of the murder on Komsomolsky Prospekt is former MMA boxer Denis Podolyachin.
On his order in 2016, they dealt with 54-year-old Khamid Nekhayev (Issa), who was allegedly connected to the Chechen diaspora. At that time, the man owned the Kolos market and was a crime boss.
