The court of the Bogorodsky District of Nizhny Novgorod Region issued a guilty verdict against former deputy Stanislav Karagansky on charges of organizing illegal migration.
Karagansky«s detention occurred in spring 2025.
The investigation established that from November 2023 to April 2025, he illegally settled several foreign citizens on his poultry farm in the village of Arapovo.
These individuals lacked the documents required for migration registration, and their permitted stay in the Russian Federation had already expired by that time.
The defendant did not admit guilt in the actions.
As a result, the court sentenced him to three years of probation and a fine of 100,000 rubles (about $1,100 at current rates).
The illegal migrants who were on the poultry farm were previously fined amounts from 4,000 to 30,000 rubles (about $44 to $330 at current rates) each and subsequently deported from Russia.
