Crime Declines in Kurgan Oblast, Ranking 57th in Russia

Kurgan Oblast recorded fewer criminal offenses over the course of 2025.
The number of crimes has decreased in Kurgan Oblast. This data was published by RIA Rating based on 2025 results. In the rating of Russian regions by crime, the oblast ranks 57th out of 85.
The main indicator for calculating the ranking was the number of crimes registered last year per 10,000 residents. In the region, this indicator is 142.8. Compared to 2024, it has decreased by 10.4%. The number of registered serious and especially serious crimes in the oblast was 38 per 10,000 residents, which is 4.4 percent lower compared to the previous year.
The closest neighbors in the ranking are Samara Oblast in 56th place and Primorsky Krai in 58th place. The lowest crime level in the country was in the Chechen Republic, with only 15.8 crimes per 10,000 residents registered. The ranking is closed by the Republic of Karelia, where the crime indicator is 183 per 10,000 residents.
In the same crime level rating from last year, Kurgan Oblast occupied 58th place and neighbored Khabarovsk Krai and the Republic of Tuva.
