Hundreds of animals end up on the streets of Yugra every month. Some die, others are caught, and only a few find shelter or foster care. One such refuge was set up by dog trainer Liza Kugush. However, her cat shelter is now full, so the editors of 86.RU have decided to help find new homes for six fluffy residents. Read their profiles and meet these tails. Perhaps one of them will become your new companion.

Koda

This puppy was taken from the street by a volunteer. His previous owner shamelessly threw him out into the cold. Koda is now in home foster care in Khanty-Mansiysk and eagerly awaits new parents. Age—5-6 months. The puppy is neutered and treated for parasites.

The hopeful eyes of the animals reflect their desire for a safe and permanent home.

Marquis

Marquis came into foster care only recently, but his story also deserves attention. The cat had an elderly owner who lost all his relatives, leading to the development of dementia and suicidal tendencies. Despite everything, the man continued to care for his pet, spoiling and loving him, until health problems landed him in a psychoneurological dispensary. Moreover, Marquis«s owner cannot move independently, so volunteers fear the man will remain hospitalized.

Marquis is 4 years old. He has problems with his left eye, but while in foster care, he will be treated, neutered, and dewormed. Currently, Marquis is adjusting to new conditions.

Marquis lost his loving owner but hopes to find a new family to care for him.

Martsipan

Martsipan was caught on one of the streets of Khanty-Mansiysk, where a cat with kittens lived in the fall. Volunteers assumed he belonged to this family. However, all the others were caught earlier and have already found homes. Only Martsipan remains. He is about 5 months old. He will soon be treated for parasites.

Seryoga

The cat was found 40 kilometers from Khanty-Mansiysk and brought to a local car service station. He is now undergoing treatment. He has problems with his liver, kidneys, and ears, which were severely frostbitten.

“I don«t know his age. He is so sick that it»s impossible to guess. After recovery, there are people willing to take him for permanent residence,” says Liza.

Despite his health issues, this cat has the potential to thrive in a caring environment.

Mavka

Mavka was also found on the highway 42 kilometers from the city. The cat had a severe pelvic fracture in two places. She is now much better, has started to stand on her hind legs, but is still undergoing treatment.

“At the moment, I am not placing her for adoption because she still has a long recovery ahead,” warned the dog trainer.

With a serious injury, the cat remains in foster care while she continues to recover.

About Animal Care

Liza Kugush cleans litter boxes, washes bowls, changes diapers, weighs out individual food for each charge, gives them medication, pets, and hugs them daily. All these tasks take about an hour a day.

“Veterinary and consumable needs are helped by people who regularly donate to the animal aid group «Kovcheg.» Some help financially, others bring food and litter, and so on. The cats are kept each in their own cage, since most of them are animals injured or broken by fate,” says the volunteer.

How to Adopt an Animal?

To adopt an animal from home foster care, you must answer questions from the head of the public animal assistance movement «Kovcheg» in Khanty-Mansiysk, Liza Kugush. If she gives the go-ahead, you can come to meet the pet and sign an animal transfer agreement with non-intrusive tracking of its future fate.

“The selection process for a potential owner of my charge is very serious to rule out cases of cruelty or improper care,” notes Liza.
