Ufa rescuers free three puppies trapped in bitter cold

Ufa rescuers freed three puppies from a trap. The incident occurred on January 24.

A call came into the city rescue service from eyewitnesses: three puppies were stuck between metal garages and couldn«t get out. It»s worth noting that on that day, the thermometer showed -27°C (-17°F). Rescuers quickly arrived at the scene.

Employees of the Ufa City Civil Protection Department made two attempts: the first during the day, but they couldn«t free the poor creatures; they were immobilized, and hydraulic tools couldn»t pry apart the metal structures.

Returning with additional equipment, the rescuers found the garage owner. She cleared space for maneuvering, after which specialists used an angle grinder to cut through the wall. Two prisoners were freed. To reach the third, another cut had to be made.

The puppies were handed over to the caller. The Civil Protection Department notes that if not for her, the little ones likely wouldn«t have survived the night.
