Seven stories of animals saved in Tyumen's Cat Headquarters

We have already reported on how the Cat Headquarters operates in Tyumen — a place where ownerless cats live in conditions close to a normal apartment. The residents here change constantly: animals are placed with new owners, and others take their place, also hoping to be taken.

We asked volunteers from the Poteryashki Foundation (Lost and Found) to share the stories of the current residents of the Cat Headquarters who are looking for a human. Among them is a cat that resembles a dog, sisters with a difficult past, and a kitten named Energodar.

Cat Nowhere

Yes, that is the mysterious name of this charming cat. Nowhere came to the foundation as a kitten along with her sister. She is almost three years old, and all this time, finding a home for this beauty has not worked out. Volunteers say that Nowhere is a non-clingy cat, respects personal boundaries, and is quite independent.

«She has a quirk for furry mice, runs with them like crazy, but she also respects balls and stacking toys. She is looking for a family of any composition, gets along well with fellow cats, and gets along perfectly with dogs. She sharpens her claws on a rope scratching post, but does not refuse wooden ones either,» — succinctly describe Nowhere at Poteryashki.

Cat Nazilli

Sister of Nowhere, who follows her from foster home to foster home, now also lives in the Cat Headquarters. She is also three, but in character, she is a bit different from her sister — timid and modest.

In the Headquarters, she managed to adapt: she started to come out into the light little by little and behave more confidently with people and other residents. However, she still plays with volunteers cautiously: it is visible that she wants to hang out with humans, but is a bit scared.

Cat Pfeil

Pfeil was found in a private sector — on Revolution Street. There, he was probably born with his brothers and sisters, until he came to the foundation. Now he is 4.5 years old. In the photo, he looks scared and unsociable, but volunteers admit: actually, everyone adores him.

«He has all the components of a great cat. He is big, loves to cuddle, affectionate, and touchingly climbs into people’s laps. This cat is very talkative and always finds someone to chat with,» — they say about him in the foundation.

In behavior, Pfeil is somewhat similar to a dog — he will bring you toys, lick you. Pfeil really needs a large family where he will be the favorite of everyone.

In the photo, it is visible that he has small problems with tear ducts — from this, it creates the impression that his eyes are always watery. Just wipe them, and everything will be fine with the animal.

Cat Kyle

Kyle was found under a car on Boris Zhitkov Street and saved. Now he is one year old, and the little kitten has managed to grow into a confident tomcat. It is known that Kyle also has a covert nickname — Multivarownik. The thing is, he wholeheartedly adores multicookers. He loves to play, is curious, affectionate, and drawn to people.

Cat Darwin

Darwin lived here and there for a long time, until he came to Poteryashki. Now he is five, and he, according to foundation volunteers, is in a mid-life crisis.

«He has already lived his life, has some experience, but does not really understand what to do with this experience. In the Cat Headquarters, he has to run and play with these zoomers, though he tries to avoid active sports,» — they say in Poteryashki.

Darwin is friendly to other animals, avoids fights as much as possible, so he does not get along well with active and aggressive animals. A distinctive feature of this cat — a hilarious surprised look, with which he walks all the time.

Cat Kolpitsa

Before the foundation, Kolpitsa lived in a troubled «home shelter» with 29 other cats. There, they bred uncontrollably and survived without food. In the last weeks, before Kolpitsa and others were saved, they did not even have water.

This affected the health and condition of the cat. She avoids people and developed problems with her fur. Kolpitsa is two years old, and she developed a cataract in her left eye, which, by the way, does not bother her — the cat can live like this all her life and be happy.

«The cat has great potential: she is tame and affectionate, just needs a calm atmosphere and lots of love. Kolpitsa still cannot believe that the nightmare is over and nothing threatens her anymore. She gets along wonderfully with other animals; she had nowhere to go, she had to,» — they say about her in the foundation.

Kitten Energodar

A kitten with such an extravagant name was found with other babies by the trash bins this spring. Like all young kittens, he is very energetic and does not let other residents of the Cat Headquarters get bored. They say, watching him — is a separate pleasure. The main thing — learn to distinguish him from other dark cats.

«Energetic, very affectionate and loves to cuddle, follows like a tail,» — describes him a volunteer from Poteryashki.
