In Perm, a home is being sought for a young cat named Mura, who resembles Charlie Chaplin. Over the past year and a half, she has been taken into a family and returned three times. Each time, the owners gave different reasons: she eats too much, is too playful, or bullies another pet.

Natalia Vodoreva, director of the Murkot shelter, told 59.RU that Mura is a very young cat, about a year and a half old. The fluffy cat has a very unusual appearance: she resembles Charlie Chaplin due to a spot on her face. Mura was born in a basement and was a completely feral kitten. A compassionate woman caught her and took her in for foster care.

Mura«s rescuer had to care for a bedridden relative, so she had no time left for the cat. The kitten needed to be socialized, so the woman took Mura to the shelter.

Just two months later, Mura was taken to a new home, but returned after a week. The owner explained that the young cat is too playful: she plays with her shoes and tore a curtain at home.

A few months later, another woman took Mura in. She already had a cat, so she took the adolescent kitten as a «companion». Natalia Vodoreva warned the owner that Mura needs high-quality food because she won«t get full on other types. In the second home, Mura quickly settled in, became friends with the owner»s cat, socialized, and almost forgot about her basement life.

A few weeks later, the second owner wrote to Natalia that Mura eats too much and bit her cat. The woman brought Mura back to the shelter. There, the rejected cat became nervous and hid under a radiator.

After some time, Mura was taken into a family again as a second pet. It seemed like the cat«s life had improved, but after four months she was returned again.

‘At first Mura was timid, but she fully settled into the new home, adapted, and became a bit cheeky, started getting jealous of the owners towards the older cat,’ Natalia Vodoreva told 59.RU. ‘She didn«t give her a moment»s peace, swatted her, and didn«t let her near the food bowl or litter box, because of which the older cat fell ill. The owners have known their cat for over 10 years, and Mura for only a few months, which worked against her: the cat returned to the shelter for the third time. We will look for a home for her where she will be the only one, or give her to a place where a wise cat lives.’

Natalia explains that Mura is an affectionate cat, but to get along with her, patience and tact are needed.

‘If you have a large companion cat and a patient heart, you can give this secretive cat a life without fear,’ says Natalia. ‘Mura is the perfect cat for introverts and philosophers.’

Mura is spayed, uses a litter box with wood pellets, and eats high-quality dry and wet food. If you like the cat, call Murkot at 8 922 311-67-73.

Earlier we wrote that in Perm a home is being sought for a cat named Persik — he ended up in a shelter when his owner was taken to a nursing home.
