In Perm, a home is being sought for a five-year-old female cat named Kulema. She was sent to a village for the summer because a child developed allergies, and now, as the cold sets in, they do not want to let her indoors. A new family is needed for Kulema by Friday, 26 September; otherwise, her current owners will leave her at a farm in Osentsy (Perm Krai, Russia).

Perm animal welfare advocate Gulnara is trying to place Kulema, a cat with a childlike face. She told 59.RU that five-year-old Kulema lived in an apartment until the owners’ child developed an allergy. The owner gave the cat to her sister in a village — all summer the domestic Kulema lived outside.

«A woman called me and asked for help to rehome the cat, because she needs to take her somewhere, but cannot bring her home because of her grandson’s allergy, — says Gulnara. — The cat lived outdoors all summer. Now that it has turned cold, the cat cries and begs to be let into the house, but they will not let her in, because they do not want a cat in the house».

The photos used in this piece are the only ones Gulnara has. She says they were taken when Kulema still lived in an apartment. The cat is five years old, but because of her small face she looks like a kitten. Kulema’s breed is unknown. On Friday, 26 September, she is to be brought to the city, but if no new owners are found by then, the cat will be left at a farm in Osentsy (Perm Krai, Russia).

You can contact Gulnara at 8 950 444-07-12 or via her page on VKontakte (VK) if you would like to take Kulema.
