Orlov Trotter 'A fighter' stars as equestrian club symbol

At an equine farm in the village of Konezavodsky, Omsk Oblast, lives an unusual retired horse who has become the symbol of a large equestrian club.

Parthenon is an Orlov Trotter from Voronezh Oblast. For a long time, the athlete performed in Moscow. He came to Siberia in 2014 after an injury when he severely wounded his left hoof. At the club, he was tenderly cared for — after three months he felt better, and he returned and was able to win the first competitions after the injury.

«In the summer we went — and my daughter immediately won the first competitions on him. Moreover, they fell on my birthday. Such a gift I got. And although my daughter is not a professional rider, it was with her that Parthenon achieved successes,» says the director of the equestrian club, Natalya.

Parthenon«s peak form came at 13 years old, and at 14 the horse retired: horses at this age are usually no longer considered suitable for sport. Now he is 22 years old, and he lives peacefully, is carefully cared for and loved at Natalya Vnukova»s equestrian club ‘Parthenon’.
