Following «Antidogkhunter», the veterinary inspection checked another animal shelter— «Vernost». Violations were found there.

The uproar over animal living conditions in shelters arose in Perm on January 11. Volunteers then found at the animal aid station «Antidogkhunter», founded by animal rights activist Semyon Filippovsky, dozens of emaciated and dead dogs. On January 13, representatives of the veterinary inspection and prosecutor«s office arrived at the animal aid station for an inspection. The sickest animals were eventually taken to a municipal shelter, the others were taken by volunteers and private shelters under receipt. A criminal case was initiated over the violations.

On Brodovsky Tract operates the shelter «Vernost», which is also linked to Semyon Filippovsky and the president of the «Antidogkhunter» foundation Yekaterina Fominykh. Volunteers also went there and discovered hungry animals. Animal rights activists said in public posts that volunteers took some dogs to improve their health.

Like «Antidogkhunter», «Vernost» (it is called a charitable animal aid foundation) was checked by specialists from the prosecutor«s office and veterinary inspection. What the results of this inspection were, 59.RU commented on in the veterinary inspection.

«Violations of legislation in the field of animal handling have been identified,» 59.RU was informed by the Veterinary Inspection of Perm Krai. «Based on the results of this inspection, the inspection has prepared a report, which was sent to the prosecutor»s office— for further measures of prosecutorial response regarding the charitable foundation «Vernost».«

Earlier we reported that in «Antidogkhunter» not only dogs but also a red-listed white-tailed eagle were living in poor conditions— this was revealed by the prosecutor«s office.
