Mini-pig finds home after shelter life on Rublyovka
Elena and Peter adopted a mini-pig named Rosa six months ago. The six-year-old pig has changed several homes: first she lived in a nursery, from where she was rescued and taken to Rublyovka, then she ended up in a shelter, from where she came to the owners from Bashkiria. Don«t be deceived by the prefix »mini« in this animal»s name; in fact, Rosochka weighs a whole 45 kg (99 lbs), which is still considered not very much for this species.

Life with a mini-pig requires patience: Rosa is stubborn, curious, and not very well-behaved — she likes to overturn trash bins and resists hoof trimming, and also hates taking baths. But despite all this, she is quite smart, learns well, and performs tricks for treats, especially for fruits, vegetables, and buckwheat.
Besides her, the home has a pony, dogs, cats, and a turtle — all animals were rescued or taken from shelters or from difficult situations by the family, and, despite the diversity, they live together peacefully.
