Inseparable cats find New Year's home after 29.RU story

Remember those adorable cats who had been together since childhood but, by a cruel twist of fate, ended up homeless? Their story has a happy ending! A resident of Arkhangelsk, who was trying to rehome them, managed to find a new family for the brothers. They moved into a warm apartment on New Year«s Eve.

A family from the village of Leshukonskoye fell in love with the inseparable pair. In late December, their daughter, who lives in the city, brought her parents a New Year«s gift. The cats were named Timon and Pumbaa.

«Thanks to your ad, we got calls from Tula, St. Petersburg, and Moscow, people wanted to take them, but we couldn»t deliver,« Marina Kulba told 29.RU. »Two more responded from Severodvinsk, but one changed their mind. An elderly woman who was ready to take the cats to the northern capital had to decline due to life circumstances and age — she realized she couldn«t be a support for the pets during long trips or treatment. In the end, the cats went to Leshukonskoye, but via Avito. And now, looking back, it seems that life itself put everything in its place. Now Timon and Pumbaa have everything: a warm home, toys, two bowls, and, most importantly, a whole family that unconditionally loves them.»
During the trip, the pets sat quietly in the carrier, without making a sound, and quickly settled into their new place. The owners note that they are surprisingly quiet and grateful.
«They never ask for anything with persistent meowing, always content with what they have. Such pliability and meekness only melted the hearts of their rescuers even more,» noted the Arkhangelsk resident.
Marina considers this confluence of circumstances a real miracle.
«In the pre-New Year bustle, when we all expect miracles, the most important magic often happens quietly, without fanfare. It comes to where people are ready to open the door and their heart. This story is not just a good deed. It is a reminder to all of us on the eve of the holidays. A miracle is not always something grand. More often it is quiet, like the steps of two cats on a snowy road leading to a new home. It is in the readiness to see, fall in love, and travel hundreds of kilometers. In the ability to modestly and gratefully accept this kindness. And in that happy confluence of circumstances that we later call fate.»
Before New Year, we also wrote about several cats who were left without families. A miracle happened here too: two handsome boys are now living their best cat lives.
The life of a Thai-colored cat also changed radically: she moved from a cold basement to an apartment with kind people.
Puppies rescued by volunteer Tatyana Nikulina from Arkhangelsk are also waiting for a miracle. The little ones, once freezing on the street, desperately need a home and caring hands.
Happy rescue stories are not happening for the first time: an Arkhangelsk resident managed to rehome five rescued puppies. One little dog was taken thanks to an article on 29.RU.
