In early January, dozens of emaciated dogs were taken out of the «Antidogkhunter» animal ambulance station in Perm. Many of them are now in temporary foster care, and some have found permanent owners. Volunteers are sharing in their public pages how these animals have settled into new places and how they have changed.

On January 13, police, prosecutors, and veterinary inspectors visited the shelter where emaciated and weakened dogs and even animal corpses were found. A criminal case was initiated over the violations. Some of the animals were taken to a municipal shelter, while others were given to volunteers and private shelters against a receipt.

As volunteers told 59.RU, many of the animals have serious weight deficits, lack of muscle mass, weakness, dehydration, low protein levels, and increased anxiety. Volunteers are taking the animals to veterinarians and groomers and patiently helping the dogs adjust to their new lives.

For Now, She«s Called »White Cloud«

The white dog with funny ears sticking out in different directions was carried out of «Antidogkhunter» in a cage and literally dragged along the highway next to the shelter«s long fence to the car.

Now she has been given a temporary home, washed, groomed, and even allowed to lounge on the couch. Jokingly, she is called «white cloud». The dog is still afraid of people, but is trying to befriend a cat.

Bonya Likes Being Called «Sweetie»

One of the dogs rescued from the station has three legs. Bonya was emaciated and is now gaining weight in foster care. The missing leg does not stop her from running fast and enjoying her new life.

The girl notes that Bonya also has behavioral issues due to her past. After she recovers and gets stronger, they will work with a dog trainer.

«But otherwise she is a very smart girl, we taught her a command in one day,» shares her new owner. «She really likes being called »sweetie«, she immediately starts wagging her tail and smiling.»

Inseparable Friends

Volunteers told about two more dogs. They say that when they were found scared in the shelter, they always stayed together and snuggled up to each other. For this, they were called inseparable friends.

«Perhaps that»s how they survived the cold nights,« say the volunteers.

Now these guys are in foster care.

«They eat tasty porridge, warm themselves in a cozy house, and are learning human affection,» say the volunteers who took in the inseparable friends. «Maybe, again. The red-haired guy is very quiet and modest, and doesn»t leave his girlfriend«s side.»

The volunteers want to find them owners who can take them both at once.

«All Is Well, the Dog Is Home!»

Volunteers posted photos of the dogs rescued from «Antidogkhunter» on social media. But in one of them, former owners recognized Kubik.

It turned out that two years ago, he was taken from Dobryanka to Semyon Filipovsky for treatment, but was not returned. The owners recognized the dog in the photo, immediately came for him, and took him away.

«All is well, the dog is home!» they reported.

Raf: Given Away to «Some Shelter»

We cannot overlook another story. After a photo of a hound named Raf was published among the rescued animals, it was seen by young people who remembered him as a puppy.

«He looks very much like the brother of our Yara and Ryzhy,» the guys said. «We found a home for Raf when he was a small puppy. But after a while, the former owners told us they had given him away to »some shelter«. Apparently, that shelter turned out to be the animal ambulance station.»

The young people immediately came and took the dog.

Earlier we reported that veterinary inspectors found violations in another shelter associated with Semyon Filipovsky. We also reported that police came to the home of one of the volunteers to take away dogs.
