Arkhangelsk residents rescue Thai-colored cat from basement
In November, residents of a house at Uritskogo Street, 52 were finding a home for a young cat resembling a Thai breed that had settled in the basement. They were convinced that its former owner had left it there. A new home for the fluffy beauty was not found immediately, but now she lives safely and with a friend similar to herself.
The cat was taken by an Arkhangelsk resident named Nina (name changed — Ed.). She told 29.RU how she decided to care for another pet.
«In November, we noticed that someone had dumped an adult Thai cat in the basement of the house, we thought it was a male. The cat often appeared near the house, playing on the ground. But the cold set in fairly quickly, and we felt sorry; it was clear that it was domestic and purebred, and such animals have a harder time surviving on the street. In the building»s chat, no one responded to the question if anyone had lost a cat, and the owner didn«t appear online either. We already had a cat ourselves, also Thai, so we decided to rescue and adopt a new member into the family.»
Through acquaintances, Nina found a cat trap, caught the cat, and took it to a veterinary clinic.
«We treated and cured her. She turned out to be a kind and affectionate cat. She shows interest in the older cat — sniffs, follows her around, and plays. It varies: sometimes they are friends, follow each other, and sleep on the same couch, and sometimes they divide territory — the older cat hisses, and the younger one runs after her,» she shared.
Earlier, we told the story of a grimy kitten from a gas station who grew into a beautiful cat named Elyu and found a new home. Now she happily lives in a three-room apartment.
