Trump's Humiliation and Crown Stripping: Miss Universe Scandals
The Miss Universe competition, whose final is scheduled for November 21 in Thailand, is at risk of cancellation due to a scandal. Vice President of the international competition Navat Itsaragrisil publicly reprimanded Miss Mexico Fatima Bosch for missing a sponsor photoshoot. Navat did not allow the girl to say a word in her defense, called security, and suggested that anyone who doesn«t like the mandatory conditions should leave the competition.
Fatima did not tolerate it and left, and several other contestants followed her.
“He just told me ‘shut up’ and many other things, and I think the world should see this because we are empowered women, and this is a platform for our voice. And no one can shut my voice, no one dares to treat me like that,” Miss Mexico said.
Navat, sobbing with tears in his eyes, tried to justify himself, but never apologized to Fatima Bosch and was largely removed from work on the competition.
During the existence of Miss Universe, this is far from the first incident. Girls have been stripped of their crowns for misconduct, had pepper spray sprayed on their dresses, and Miss France had to prove that she is indeed a woman, but the biggest scandals occurred during the time when Donald Trump ran the competition. Watch about them in the video above.
