However, this will not bring significant warmth to the Perm Territory.

The night into Saturday is expected to bring the peak cold of the current winter to the south of the Perm Territory. In the areas of Osa and Kungur, the air temperature will drop to -38…-40 °C (-36…-40 °F) — these cities will experience their coldest night. In Perm, the minimum air temperature will be in the first half of the night — down to -32…-34 °C (-26…-29 °F). In the north of the Perm Territory, it will cool to -27…-32 °C (-17…-26 °F).
From the morning, the region will begin to warm up: during the day in Perm, thermometers will rise to -20…-22 °C (-4…-8 °F), with cloudy skies and clearings. In the Perm Territory, temperatures of -20…-25 °C (-4…-13 °F) are generally expected, with the Gaynsky District possibly being slightly warmer.

On the night of January 25, it will warm up slightly: in the Perm Territory, -24…-29 °C (-11…-20 °F) are expected, and in the southern districts the temperature will drop to -30…-35 °C (-22…-31 °F). In Perm, it will be around -25 °C (-13 °F) or a bit colder. During the day, the Perm Territory is forecast to have -18…-23 °C (0…-9 °F), and in Perm around -20 °C (-4 °F).
This is still much colder than normal (by 8-11°C), so the duration of the abnormally cold weather period will reach five days,writes Andrey Shikhov in his Telegram channel.
Next week
At the beginning of next week, warming in the Perm Territory will be very slow. On the night of January 26, the south of the territory may again cool to -30 °C (-22 °F). A more noticeable warming to -15 °C (5 °F) and above with snowfalls in the region is expected only by the evening of January 27 or on the night of Wednesday. But, as Andrey Shikhov allows in the forecast, the northwest of the Perm Territory may warm up a day earlier.
