In the next two weeks, Tyumen residents will experience sharp temperature fluctuations. This was reported to a 72.RU journalist by Ilya Vinshtein, author of the «Weather 72» project. The strongest frosts will occur on January 24–26, when nighttime temperatures will drop to -29… -34 degrees Celsius (-20… -29 degrees Fahrenheit).
However, starting from Wednesday, January 28, a sharp warming will begin. Daytime temperatures will rise to -9 degrees Celsius (16 degrees Fahrenheit), with light snow. The peak of the thaw is expected on January 29–31: during the day, it will be -5… -10 degrees Celsius (23… 14 degrees Fahrenheit) along with snowfall.
In the first days of February, a brief return of frosts to -15… -20 degrees Celsius (5… -4 degrees Fahrenheit) at night is possible, but by February 4–6, the weather will stabilize to the climatic norm. During this period, daytime temperatures are forecast to be -10… -15 degrees Celsius (14… 5 degrees Fahrenheit), and nighttime -15… -20 degrees Celsius (5… -4 degrees Fahrenheit).
Throughout the week, due to low air temperatures, in-person classes for schoolchildren have been repeatedly canceled. We have created a convenient infographic so you always know under what conditions a child does not go to classes.
