When Will the Frosts End in Tyumen? Forecast

The abnormally cold weather that has set in the Tyumen region will soon retreat, according to the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia.

On Saturday, 24 January, temperatures will drop to -32°C (-26°F) during the day. Due to the severe frosts, classes for students from first to ninth grade in the first shift have been canceled.

On the night of 25 January, temperatures will remain at around -30°C (-22°F). During the day on Sunday, 25 January, it is expected to reach -23°C (-9°F).

Forecasters promise that the frosts will end here and gradual warming will begin.

Specialists warn: «A dangerous phenomenon is expected in the region — abnormally cold weather. The warning period is until 20:00 on 25 January. Hoar frost will also be recorded. This warning is valid until 11:00 on 24 January.»

On the night to Monday, it will still be cold, down to -30°C (-22°F). However, during the day the temperature will rise to -20°C (-4°F). Warming will intensify by the middle of the week: on Wednesday daytime, -10°C (14°F) is forecast, and by Friday during daylight hours, the air will warm up to -3°C (27°F).
