A batch of gadgets under a well-known brand was uncovered in Samara region. The equipment was found in the cargo terminal of Kurumoch airport.

Customs officers discovered Apple phones, tablets, laptops, and headphones totaling 438 units. Specialists determined that the gadgets were brought from Moscow in several batches for sale. However, customs declaration of the goods was not carried out.

The equipment was seized, and an examination will determine the exact cost of the entire batch. Preliminary damage to the federal budget may amount to more than 5 million rubles (approximately $66,700 at current rates).

«Russian legislation provides for the right of a person with authority over goods to voluntarily declare them with payment of due customs duties. Otherwise, the goods become federal property,» said Vadim Arushanov, deputy head of Samara Customs.

More dangerous equipment is also being imported into Samara region. In autumn 2025, customs officers discovered a batch of 34 drones.
