Weekend Weather Forecast for Omsk Oblast: Frost Unlikely

With no severe frosts forecast, residents of Omsk Oblast look forward to the coming spring.
The Ob-Irtysh Department of Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring (UGMS) has published the weather forecast for the upcoming weekend. Here«s what residents of Omsk can expect.
According to meteorologists, on January 31, overnight temperatures will range from -8 to -13°C (18 to 9°F), with possible light snow in some areas. Winds will be southwesterly to westerly with gusts of 7–12 m/s. During the day, temperatures are expected to rise to -3 to -8°C (27 to 18°F), with light snow and winds gusting at 5–10 m/s.
On Sunday, February 1, no severe frosts are expected. The forecast calls for variable cloudiness with light snow in some areas. Overnight temperatures will drop to -9 to -14°C (16 to 7°F), with winds from the southwest and southeast gusting at 4–9 m/s. During the day, temperatures are predicted to be -5 to -10°C (23 to 14°F), with easterly to northeasterly winds gusting at 7–12 m/s.
The Weather NGS55.RU service also does not forecast severe cold. On both Saturday and Sunday, daytime temperatures in Omsk are expected to be around -19°C (-2°F).
