Warming Trend for Bashkortostan: Meteorologist's Detailed Forecast
Forecasters indicate a gradual warming trend for Bashkortostan, with temperatures rising significantly by the end of the week.
Next week, warming will begin in Bashkortostan, according to Alexander Ilyin, a specialist at the Meteo center. UFA1.RU asked the meteorologist for a detailed weather forecast for every day in the republic.
According to Alexander Ilyin, the warming process will start at the very beginning of the week. The air temperature will rise noticeably by Monday night, reaching -20 to -25°C (-4 to -13°F) in Ufa. However, low temperatures will persist across most of the republic.
«In some areas, temperatures will drop to minus 25–30°C (-13 to -22°F). This depends on cloud cover: where it is low, it will be cooler. But Tuesday is the last day with low temperatures,» the meteorologist assured.
On Tuesday night, temperatures will range from -28 to -33°C (-18 to -27°F), but during the day it will warm up to -16°C (3°F), and in some areas to -17 to -22°C (1 to -8°F). On Wednesday, temperatures across the republic will begin to rise both at night and during the day.
«On Wednesday, Ufa can expect -10°C (14°F), and other areas of the republic from -8 to -13°C (18 to 9°F). The warmest air masses will be observed in the southeastern regions, then on Thursday in the north of the region, down to minus 5–10°C (23 to 14°F), and in some places even to -3°C (27°F),» explained Alexander Ilyin.
The meteorologist explained the shift between cold and warm areas by a front from Kazakhstan. It will bring cold to the southern regions of Bashkortostan, so temperatures there will again approach -20°C (-4°F) — slightly lower in some places, slightly higher in others.
«By Friday, western regions via the southern and northwestern ones will experience 20-degree frosts. On the northern and northwestern borders, higher temperatures will remain — from -9 to -13°C (16 to 9°F),» said Ilyin.
As for precipitation, the meteorologist assured that significant snowfall is not expected next week. There will be none — for now, temperatures are fluctuating and atmospheric pressure is decreasing.
«Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday — mostly without precipitation in most of the republic. On Wednesday evening, brief light snow is possible in some parts of the north and northeast of Bashkortostan. On Thursday, light snow will again pass in some northern areas,» said the Meteo center specialist.
According to his forecast, pressure will continue to decrease until Friday. On Saturday, the last day of January, the air temperature in Ufa during the day will be around -14°C (7°F), in some areas in the southeast — from -3 to -8°C (27 to 18°F), and in the west and northwest — from -14 to -16°C (7 to 3°F).
On Sunday night, already the beginning of February, temperatures will drop only to -17 and -23°C (1 to -9°F), and during the day, with partly cloudy weather and no precipitation, the air will warm up. In most of the republic, temperatures are expected to range from -7 to -12°C (19 to 10°F), and in the southeast — even from -4 to -7°C (25 to 19°F).
