Voronezh residents can expect a noticeable thaw by late January after a period of severe frost. According to the forecast, in the coming days, 24–25 January, the region will see a significant cold snap: nighttime temperatures may drop to -24… -21°C (-11… -6°F), while daytime temperatures will range from -17… -12°C (1…10°F). Isolated light snow is possible, with an east wind of 5–10 m/s.
However, a gradual warming will begin from 26 January. By mid-week, 27–28 January, the maximum temperature in Voronezh will rise to -7°C (19°F), and at times on the 28th, even to +1°C (34°F). The likelihood of precipitation will increase. After the hard frost, Voronezh residents can expect a return to milder weather with a thaw by the end of the month.
