Utility Workers Ready as Blizzard Bears Down on Rostov-on-Don
A blizzard once again threatens Rostov-on-Don, prompting preparations by city services.
A blizzard is approaching Rostov-on-Don, and communal services are preparing to combat the snow, said Rostov head Alexander Skryabin. The services will pre-treat roads with reagents and then clean the city. First, they will treat bridges, overpasses, descents, and ascents — these are the most dangerous sections.
«It is planned to deploy 122 units of equipment, including 61 combined road machines, and up to 450 street cleaners,» Skryabin wrote in his Telegram channel.
If the snowfall intensifies, authorities promise to deploy additional equipment on the roads. Management companies and homeowners associations are obliged to clean the areas in front of the houses assigned to them.
