The salary for small mechanization workers of Tomsk SAKH will be increased by 12,000 rubles (approximately $130 at current rates). This decision was approved by the city council at a meeting on Friday, January 30.

‘We propose to increase other expenses in the finance department by 22 million rubles (approximately $244,000 at current rates). These reserved funds are for further salary increases for Tomsk SAKH employees, specifically mechanization,’ said Anna Malsagova, deputy mayor of Tomsk and head of the finance department.

The deputies supported this proposal.

At the end of January, deputy director of the enterprise Yevgeny Dyachenko said that a critical shortage of drivers prevents the use of all tractors for sidewalk cleaning. He said that the enterprise has 25 mini-tractors and only 10 drivers to operate this equipment. Dmitry Makhinya said that a decision has been made to raise the salary for small mechanization workers by 12 thousand rubles (approximately $130 at current rates). However, the decision needed to be approved by city deputies.
