Saratov residents order more mobile tire service and towing amid snowfalls

Not all Saratov residents could dig their cars out of the snow.
In the first ten days of the New Year, Russians faced atypically heavy snowfalls, causing demand for car services to rise significantly. Saratov was no exception, where residents dealt with the aftermath of the snowfall «Francis». According to Avito Life, demand for mobile services increased by 51%.
In addition to towing and heating, mobile tire service and other auxiliary services became popular. Demand for it jumped 2.5 times in the first 10 days of January: drivers in difficult weather conditions were not prepared to drive to the auto service themselves, fearing getting into an accident. The average cost of calling tire service masters is 2,000 rubles (about $20 at current rates).
Demand for battery jump-starting increased by 80%, and the cost of such service on average reached 1,000 rubles (about $10 at current rates). The use of battery replacement opportunities rose by 76%, and demand for fuel delivery on the road increased by 42%. Snowstorms caused significant traffic jams, and not everyone could make it to the gas station in time.
Demand for car heating increased by 36%, and towing by 10%. During the snowfall, some cars had to be pulled out of ruts or snow slush. The average cost of such service also reached 1,000 rubles (about $10 at current rates).
