Rain, Snow Prompt Storm Warning in Krasnodar Krai

At the end of the work week and over the weekend, the weather in Krasnodar Krai will deteriorate sharply. A storm warning has been declared in the region, according to the Krasnodar Unified Duty Dispatch Service (EDDS). From January 23 to 25, forecasters predict rain, wet snow accumulation on wires and trees, and icy roads.

According to the regional hydrometeorological center, on the night of January 23, wind speeds will increase to 12 m/s, with temperatures of -4 to -9 °C (25 to 16 °F). During the day, thermometers will read -2 to +3 °C (28 to 37 °F), but the next day will see a noticeable chill to -3 to -8 °C (27 to 18 °F).

Recall that precipitation will begin in the city on the night of January 22-23 and continue throughout Friday. The air temperature will be around +2 °C (36 °F), but it will feel like -6 to -7 °C (21 to 19 °F).

However, according to forecasters, at the beginning of next week, Kuban residents should prepare for a surge of warmth. From January 27 to 30, the region will be in the warm sector of a southern cyclone, which will move towards central Russia. There will be no snow cover, and temperatures will approach spring-like levels.
