Forecasters announce when Ulyanovsk will see new cold wave

At the end of the work week, Ulyanovsk is expected to experience another cold snap, according to the regional Hydrometeorological Center. On January 23, the nighttime air temperature will drop to -27 degrees Celsius (-16.6°F) and below. At the same time, the weather will be relatively clear, with precipitation unlikely. The wind will be northerly and weak. A ridge of the Siberian anticyclone will dominate over the region, bringing a new wave of frost. According to forecasters, in the last decade of January, the region will be one degree Celsius colder than the climatic norm.

Recall that on January 20, after a slight warming, black ice formed on the roads of Ulyanovsk. Drivers are advised to observe speed limits, maintain a safe distance, and avoid sudden maneuvers. Pedestrians are advised to move cautiously and bypass the most icy sections of sidewalks.
