February Weather Forecast for Altai Krai

January is coming to an end, taking with it, it seems, the most severe frosts. The weather also hints at an imminent warming, but February is an unpredictable month. According to Gismeteo, February will begin with snowfalls, expected from February 4 to 8, and then from the 13th to the 21st. In general, cloudy weather will prevail in the region for most of the month. Good news: Gismeteo does not forecast sharp temperature swings. During the day, thermometer readings will drop to a maximum of -12 degrees Celsius (10°F), and on some days, the air will even warm up to a comfortable -7 degrees Celsius (19°F). Nights will be slightly cooler, with temperatures down to -17 degrees Celsius (1°F).

Yandex.Weather

For example, the Yandex.Weather website sees no prerequisites for February in Altai Krai to be cold. The beginning of the month promises to be moderately frosty: during the day, air temperature will stay within -10 to -12 degrees Celsius (14 to 10°F), and at night it will drop to -15…-18 degrees Celsius (5 to 0°F). Approximately the same weather will persist in the region until mid-February. Then a gradual temperature increase is expected: during the day, thermometer readings will rise to -7 degrees Celsius (19°F), and by the end of the month — to -5 degrees Celsius (23°F). According to the forecast of this service, serious snowfalls are also not anticipated in Altai Krai.

Interestingly, World-weather offers its own, quite different from others, scenario. According to their data, February 1 will be the coldest day of the month, when the thermometer will show -14 degrees Celsius (7°F) during the day and -6 degrees Celsius (21°F) at night. However, then, according to World-weather forecasts, milder weather will set in the krai, with daytime temperatures around -4…-5 degrees Celsius (25 to 23°F). In mid-February, a slight cooling to -10…-13 degrees Celsius (14 to 9°F) during the day is expected, and by the end of the month it will warm up again to -6…-7 degrees Celsius (21 to 19°F). As for precipitation, judging by this forecast, the last month of winter will not be rich in it.
