Extreme Frosts Heading to Samara — New Forecast from Meteorologists

«The strengthening of the ridge of the Siberian anticyclone will lead to a cessation of precipitation and a return of frosts to the Volga region,» said specialist Galina Ovechkina.

Already on Friday, January 23, the nighttime air temperature will be -20 to -22°C (-4 to -8°F). During the day, it will be only slightly warmer: -14 to -16°C (7 to 3°F). No precipitation is expected throughout the day.
On the night to Saturday, January 24, thermometers will show -25 to -30°C (-13 to -22°F). During the day, -16 to -21°C (3 to -6°F) is expected.
«Both during the dark and light hours of the day, partly cloudy weather without precipitation is expected,» said meteorologist Irina Vytagova.
On the night to Sunday, January 25, it will be even colder: forecasts predict -27 to -32°C (-17 to -26°F). During the day, the air will warm slightly to -17 to -22°C (1 to -8°F). There will be no snow, and partly cloudy weather is expected.
On the night to Monday, January 26, the nighttime air temperature will be -26 to -31°C (-15 to -24°F). During the day, meteorologists forecast -15 to -20°C (5 to -4°F). Once again, we can expect a clear and frosty day without precipitation.
On the night to Tuesday, January 27, thermometers will again fluctuate within the range of -26 to -31°C (-15 to -24°F). During the day, it will warm up to -11 to -16°C (12 to 3°F). Throughout the day, it will be partly cloudy, and meteorologists do not forecast precipitation.
The neural network of Yandex.Weather does not promise extreme frosts. The coldest will be on Sunday night: they advise expecting an air temperature of -25°C (-13°F). Warming is forecast from January 28.
The Gismeteo service also does not want to scare Samara residents: the minimum air temperature here is -26°C (-15°F). And again, warming is forecast from next Wednesday.
