In the regional center this Saturday, January 24, classes have been cancelled for school students in 5th and 6th grades of the first shift. This was reported today by the Telegram channel «Education Committee» of the Saratov city hall.

According to officials, this decision was made «in connection with the expected low air temperature during night and morning hours» for schools operating on a six-day school week.

In the comments to the post, a user with the nickname senyaaaaa asked, «and what about 7th graders, let them freeze from the cold?» Most users criticized the authorities for the fact that anyone has to study on Saturday at all.

«Yes, imagine, we could spread three lessons over the whole week. Nowhere to go with the children to relax on the weekend, no time to do homework,» says a subscriber with the nickname Natalya.
