Arkhangelsk Oblast weather: Frosts to continue on January 23

On Friday, January 23, cold weather will persist in Arkhangelsk Oblast. Forecasters from the Northern Directorate of the Hydrometeorological Service (UGMS) predict temperatures as low as -33 degrees Celsius (-27°F).
The region will be cloudy with clear spells, without significant precipitation. However, in the northern half of the region, light snow will fall in places. A wind from the southern quarter will blow at 3–8 m/s.
Temperatures at night will be -24 to -29°C (-11 to -20°F), dropping to -33°C (-27°F) during clear spells, and down to -19°C (-2°F) in coastal areas. During the day, temperatures will range from -15 to -20°C (5 to -4°F), and in places from -6 to -11°C (21 to 12°F).

Recall that in early January, residents of an apartment building in Arkhangelsk were left without hot water and heating during the frost. The radiators burst in their entrance, and the temperature in the apartments does not rise above 12°C (54°F). Reports of cold in apartments came from different parts of the city.
