Car Collision with Special Van Halts Ulyanovsk Trams

A collision between a special communications van and a car on Marata Street in Ulyanovsk has blocked tram tracks, disrupting public transport.

On January 21, around 12:30, on Marata Street in the Leninsky District of Ulyanovsk, a special communications Ford van and a Hyundai Solaris car collided, according to MUP «Ulyanovsk Electrotranz». Information about casualties is being clarified. The vehicles came to a stop on the tram tracks, blocking the movement of electric transport. Trams are temporarily being rerouted via Radishchev Street. Passengers are asked to be more attentive.

Recall that in 2025, the number of city residents using public transport services in Ulyanovsk decreased. Over 11 months, trams, trolleybuses, and buses carried 38.7 million people, which is 13.6 percent less than in the same period in 2024.
