Bus loses wheel on snowy street in Perm's Motovilikha district

Driving through boulders of uncleared snow, the minibus lost its rear left wheel
In the Motovilikha district, a route 70 bus lost its rear left wheel. The incident occurred around noon on Khrustalnaya Street.
“At 5 Khrustalnaya Street, a Gazelle lost a wheel, and the one-way street was almost blocked. A roadside assistance team arrived,” an eyewitness told 59.RU.
According to a 59.RU reader, the repair crew jacked up the bus, put the fallen wheel back on, and dug the bus out of the snow with shovels. After that, the Gazelle drove away under its own power.
Entrepreneur Vitaly Plotnikov, whose buses operate on route No. 70, learned about the incident from a 59.RU correspondent. He was unable to comment on the incident promptly. At the same time, the carrier assured that his buses undergo mandatory technical inspections daily before leaving the depot.
The wheel came off a 2022 GAZelle City minibus. Until March 2023, this vehicle was with a carrier in the Stavropol Territory, after which it ended up in the fleet of carrier Vitaly Plotnikov.
Individual entrepreneur Plotnikov, together with his business partner, individual entrepreneur Igor Zhuzhgov, operates in Perm on routes No. 26, 28, 29, and 70. Their fleet has more than 30 buses.
On Friday, January 30, transport analyst Alexander Sinyavsky reported to 59.RU about the problem with uncleared snow on Khrustalnaya Street. “Here, public transport travels tries to travel,” the expert wrote alongside photos of the single-lane street with ruts.
The 59.RU editorial board sent a request to the Perm mayor«s office asking when the roadway on Khrustalnaya Street was last cleared of snow. At the time of publication, no response had been received from the authorities.
