Tyumen's Most Responsible Dog Owners Mapped by District
A developer analyzed which districts of Tyumen are home to the most conscientious pet owners.
The serious struggle between dog owners and guardians of lawn cleanliness has been going on for a long time. The federal law «On Responsible Treatment of Animals» sides with the latter. It states that when walking dogs, one must immediately clean up after their pet. The largest developer* in Tyumen, Strana Development, conducted an analysis to determine which districts of the city are home to the most responsible pet owners.
Analysts calculated the number of special bags used in different residential complexes over one year.
To make the comparison, analysts calculated how many special bags were used in different residential complexes of the company over the course of a year. For the accuracy of the calculations, they compared the ratio of the number of bags per 100 residents of each complex.
The riverside «European Bank» complex ranked first, followed by the large «Zvyozdny» complex.
Thus, the most conscientious were the residents of the riverside part of the city, namely the «European Bank» residential complex. Over the year, more than 280,000 bags were used there.
Residents of the «Heart of Siberia» and «Domashny» complexes shared the third-place position.
In second place is the Mys (Cape) district, home to one of the city«s largest residential complexes, »Zvyozdny« (Starry). Over 20,000 people already live there—a whole mini-city. Dog owners used almost 240,000 dog waste bags over the year.
Third place was shared by residents of the business center (the «Heart of Siberia» residential complex) and the Plekhanovo district (the «Domashny» (Homely) residential complex). In each complex, dog owners used 130,000 bags.
To make it more comfortable for owners and their pets, the developer«s residential complexes have special dog walking areas. In the fenced area, animals can run without a leash: there is equipment for active play and training—slides, tunnels, podiums, and barriers.
