The future of the empty lot from the demolished Delhi hotel remains unclear in the development plans.

According to the plan, its place will be taken by a multifunctional public building with an underground parking lot.

Also in the block, a building for an educational institution, a facility for scientific activity, and an office and business building will be constructed, and on the site of the demolished psychiatric hospital a multi-level above-ground parking lot will appear. Development here will continue until 2035.

Notably, the same zone includes the wasteland from the Delhi hotel demolished in 2021 (which was never completed), but the plan does not contain any data on what will be built here. At the same time, in the phasing plan, this wasteland is marked as the second stage, but no future buildings are indicated there. It is possible that this territory will be occupied by an underground parking lot.

Several years ago, Harbin was put up for sale for 290 million rubles (about $3.2 million at current rates). The former restaurant was opened in 1991 by businessman Konstantin Romanovsky, who also began building the Delhi hotel. Over time, due to debts, the building passed to the UBRiR bank and then changed owners several more times.
