Baden Family, which manages the Baden-Baden thermal complex network, has completed the sale of the building that previously housed the Gold nightclub. The property is located near Mayakovsky Park in Yekaterinburg. The company confirmed this information but refused to disclose details, including the transaction amount and the identity of the new owner.

Baden Family became the owner of the building in 2023. Initially, there were plans to set up a spa complex on the premises, and then a restaurant named «Masha and the Bear». However, after the company began implementing the large-scale Badenland project on the site of the former Komsomoll shopping mall, priorities changed. In the spring of 2024, the property was put up for sale with an initial price of 225 million rubles (about $2.5 million at current rates). Later, to speed up the deal, the price was reduced to 160 million rubles (about $1.8 million).

The legendary Gold club was opened in 2008 by entrepreneurs Maksim Reutov and Aleksey Balashov. The venue quickly gained popularity due to themed parties and performances by famous artists. However, its history was short-lived: the club operated for only three years. In 2011, an accident occurred — a pipe burst led to the flooding of the premises with boiling water. The damage caused was estimated at approximately 60 million rubles (about $670,000).

Previously, the director of the Central Park of Culture and Leisure, Pavel Zubakin, expressed interest in acquiring the building. He planned to create a concert venue on the site, noting that in Soviet times, the Mayakovsky cinema operated there. However, these intentions were not realized. The park«s press service denied rumors that they had become the new owner of the property.
