«The total length of the paths will be over 28 kilometers. It is planned that there will be pedestrian routes running through the DOK, the Zareka area, and along the Tura River embankment, totaling almost 20 kilometers. Also planned are two bridges — from Zareka to the DOK in the Shcherbakova area and from Rechport to the Zareka area,» as indicated on the map published by city administration representatives.

The authorities also explained that with the help of comprehensive territory development (CTD), which is being implemented, for example, in the DOK area, they plan to build a comfortable urban environment.

«We are talking about pedestrian connections. The map shows a vector, a direction specifically for consolidating them with water bodies. That is, the goal is not just to build a beautifully comfortable urban environment, but to connect it, to weave it into the fabric of adjacent urban areas,» said the city administration.

A small section of the new embankment has already appeared in Tyumen. It is located in the Rechport area, and a pedestrian path connects it to the old embankment, which ends in the Kontra Parokhodstva area. We visited and are showing what it looks like now.
