Tram Emits White Smoke While Moving Along Ageeva Street in Tula

In Tula, a tram on route No. 13 filled with smoke while moving. Eyewitnesses reported the incident on social media.

The incident occurred near the «Ageeva Street» stop at around 8:20 a.m. during the morning commute. Residents of Tula reported that a sharp smell of burning first appeared inside the tram, followed by white smoke.

Despite the smoke, passengers did not immediately rush to leave the tram. The driver, noticing the malfunction, stopped the vehicle and exited to inspect it. However, he then returned to the control cabin and the tram continued its journey.

The cause of the incident is unknown.

This is not the first incident involving a tram or tram tracks in Tula recently. One of them ended in tragedy.

On 31 October 2025, a fatal road accident occurred at Proletarsky Bridge near the «Maksi» shopping mall. Five people died and twenty were injured. The cause of the crash was a tram derailment, which resulted in it colliding with two minibuses.

Currently, a third criminal case has been initiated — against unidentified persons from the municipal enterprise «Tulagorelectrotrans» and city officials under an article for negligence resulting in death.
