Sochi Mayor Details Aftermath of Drone Attack on Resort
Drone wreckage landed on Transportnaya Street following the reported attack on the Black Sea resort.
The resort«s mayor, Andrey Proshunin, stated that air defense systems destroyed all enemy targets in the airspace over Sochi and the coastal waters. There were no casualties during the UAV attack. No fires or damage to infrastructure were recorded.
«The fall of small fragments was detected on Transportnaya Street. The information was received from residents of an apartment building via the 112 emergency line. All emergency services promptly arrived at the scene. I want to thank the residents of Sochi for their vigilance and responsibility, and our military—for their highest professionalism and coordinated actions,» the mayor«s Telegram channel reported.
There is currently no threat to the city. The situation is under full control, Proshunin stated.
