Powerful Mudflow Blocks Key Road in Sochi
A heavy flow of mud, clay, and stones has blocked a road in Sochi near the Ministerial Lakes residential complex. Municipal authorities report no injuries and say machinery is en route to clear the debris.

In Sochi, a powerful mudflow has blocked traffic on one section of the city«s road network. According to eyewitnesses, a mass of clay, stones, and tree roots slid onto a concrete road behind Gymnasium No. 9 in the area of the »Ministerial Lakes« residential complex.
Local residents say the mudslide happened after trees were cut down on the slope.

Traffic on that road section is completely blocked. The emergency has caused traffic jams on Teplyechnaya and Makarenko streets.
«According to specialists, machinery is already on its way. There are no casualties,» commented the Municipal Management Center of Sochi.
