The mother of a soldier killed in the special military operation (SVO) was refused a social benefit payout by the Rostov Oblast social protection authorities. After the Rostov woman appealed to the prosecutor«s office, her rights were restored, according to the press service of the regional department.

The woman was denied a targeted payment because she lacked documents confirming her son«s death while performing tasks in the special military operation zone.

The Rostov Oblast resident then turned to law enforcement.

Following prompt coordination between the prosecutor«s office, the military prosecutor»s office, and the Rostov Oblast Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, the woman received the payments she was entitled to in January 2026, totaling 1 million rubles (approximately $13,000).
