Larisa Boyarskaya, vice-governor for social policy of Orenburg Region, commented on the condition of the young men injured today on Montazhnikov Street — they were scalded by boiling water after a ground collapse right on a pedestrian crossing near a college.

According to the official, the young Orenburg residents are under constant observation by doctors at the Regional Clinical Center for Surgery and Traumatology — they continue to receive all necessary medical assistance.

Colleagues from federal centers have been involved in providing medical assistance. We are in contact with the victims« relatives. On the instructions of the head of the region, Yevgeny Alexandrovich Solntsev, all necessary aid and support will be provided,
wrote Larisa Boyarskaya in her Telegram channel.

Recall that after the ground collapse, a criminal case has been initiated. It is under the supervision of the prosecutor of Orenburg Region, Ruslan Medvedev. The section of Montazhnikov Street will be closed to traffic until February 27. The aftermath of the emergency is being monitored by Orenburg Mayor Albert Yumadilov and Governor Yevgeny Solntsev.
